Q. What types of temporary assignments are available?
A. KLR offers a variety of challenging assignments. A frequent request from our clients is for high-end specialists with expertise in a particular practice area. In addition, law firms and corporations often use teams of temporary employees in large scale litigations, IPOs, and mergers and acquisitions and other labor intensive matters where time is critical. Typical job responsibilities include assisting in document review, due diligence, discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial follow-up.
Q. How do I apply if there is not a Kelly Law Registry office in my area?
A. Our KLR offices cover a broad geographic area. Just because there is no local office does not mean there are no assignments. In the past year, we have filled assignments for clients in Montana, Iowa and New Mexico, for example.
Q. What types of benefits will I receive from Kelly Law Registry?

Q. How soon can you identify opportunities and place me in a position?
A. We have many positions that are immediately available; however it is not our goal simply to find a job for you, but to identify the right opportunity for you. A Kelly Law Registry placement specialist will spend time with you to gain a thorough understanding of your needs so we can match you with the position that best fits your skills, qualifications, and personal and professional goals.
Q. Will someone remain in contact with me once I begin employment with Kelly Law Registry?
A. Yes. You will have a primary contact for issues such as benefits, payroll, HR issues, skill development, career planning or day-to-day concerns that need to be addressed.
Q. When can I expect my performance to be reviewed, and what is the criteria for evaluation?
A. Performance reviews are as important to us as they are to you. We maintain contact with you and your manager on a regular basis to handle immediate issues and conduct performance reviews. Some of the attributes we evaluate are attendance, punctuality, work efficiency, attitude, qualifications and willingness to get the job done.
Q. What if the job I get isn't right for me?
A. Our recruiters go through an extensive process to understand your career objectives before you are placed in a job. The goal of this process is to help ensure the best job placement for you. In this case that a job just doesn’t fit, your recruiter will work with you to find a job that better suits your needs. It is important that you communicate with your recruiter if you are considering a job move so we have ample time to notify your manager, as well as look for other opportunities for you.
Q. What happens if I'm on a project assignment that ends?
A. One of the objectives of the Kelly Law Registry career planning process is to assist you in determining your short- and long-term goals, and cooperatively identify new opportunities for you in the next phase of your career with Kelly. By understanding your career goals, your recruiter can continuously look for opportunities for you and help proactively plan for the next steps after your current assignment is completed.
